In 2019, the Mississippi Legislature passed “The Children’s Promise Act” which provides a dollar for dollar TAX CREDIT to individuals and companies who give to a qualified charity. Through this act, you can give to The Methodist Children’s Homes and receive your tax credit.

Your donation to Methodist Children’s Homes can be a DOLLAR-FOR-DOLLAR TAX CREDIT up to 50% of your Mississippi state tax liability. The total funding available is $5 Million, but it its first-come-first-serve. Act now to ensure your business benefits!

Select QFCCO and Give a donation to the children of Methodist Children’s Homes of Mississippi. Up to $1,200 will be matched as a tax credit on your MS state tax return.

Submit your form to the MSDOR with your Mississippi tax return.

When you make a cash contribution to Methodist Children’s Homes this year, your gift of up to $1200 can receive a 100% state tax credit. The full amount of your donation will be deducted from your annual tax liability.

MSDOR Application

To make sure your gift to Methodist Children’s Homes is eligible for the full tax credit, you must apply for certification of the credit amount with the MS Department of Revenue. Your gift will be certified within 30-days based on the funds available in the $3 million tax credit fund. You will submit your certification with your state tax return to receive your credit.

The Methodist Children’s Homes is a Qualified Foster Care Charitable Organization (QFCCO). This designation allows your gift to be eligible for the tax credit.

We serve more than 100 foster children each year. For every dollar you donate, 86% goes towards the care of our children.
